Lodi Physical Therapy is proud to announce the opening of an exciting new facility in Lodi, the PUMP Institute. PUMP stands for Pursue Ultimate Motor Performance, and we are here to pump...you up!

At Lodi physical Therapy we have always enjoyed working with athletes. Our frustration, over the years, has been seeing injuries that could have been prevented. Many athletic injuries are caused by poor core strength and lack of coordination of important muscle groups. It’s not enough to develop strength and flexibility—your body has to learn how to use them. Our goal at the PUMP Institute is to help you make your body strong, flexible and smart!

Our comprehensive, individualized training programs are designed to help you achieve maximal development of core strength, muscular endurance, balance, agility, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and speed. Development of each of these characteristics is important but falls short if your body isn’t trained to use them for your particular sport. PUMP programs are designed specifically to train your body to do what your activity requires. Fortunately, making your body more efficient and effective also makes you less prone to injury.. Our staff is educated not only in how to make the most of your exercise, but also to protect your body from the stresses exercise might cause. The outcome is optimal sports performance and safety in participation.

Maybe you have a nagging injury you can’t seem to get over. Rest alone is not enough because when you return to your sport the same stresses will cause the same breakdown. Strangely, bodies are not very logical and often they use muscles in a way that actually hurts! Our educated PUMP professionals know how to reduce the stresses on your body that faulty mechanics can cause. Changing the way your muscles function will minimize stress and pain and maximize power. You’re not an athlete, you say? Well, we think you are! Your sport may be gardening, house cleaning, loading and unloading groceries, or chasing children. Bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, and even standing are very stressful on our bodies. Everyday activities can be exhausting, especially if you're not in shape to do them. That is evident if you are sore or tired afterwards. We can pump you up for everyday life too! We have classes for every level, all taught by physical therapists who know how to protect your body while making you the best you can be. You’ll have more energy and fewer aches and pains.

The PUMP Professionals are available to you on an individual basis or in a class setting. A variety of classes will be offered to address the needs of every body. Sessions will also be available for teams, or groups of athletes training for the same sport. Bring your entire team in for pre-season training and we will help you jump higher, hit harder, run longer, cut quicker, throw farther, and swim faster.
